Infrastructure Adviser Afghanistan

Libra Advisory Group are searching for an infrastructure adviser to be posted to Helmand province, Afghanistan . The successful candidate will work with the Government of Afghanistan and provincial Government, international donors, military forces, multinational organisations and NGOs to implement a programme of infrastructure development in the province – focussing on large construction projects including roads, power and irrigation. Successful candidates will hold a professional engineering qualification and have demonstrated at least five years’ relevant job experience, including at least three working in a conflict affected country. In particular the successful candidate will be able to show evidence of working successfully across a wide-range of domestic and international Governmental, development and military actors in a high-pressure environment to deliver pro-poor infrastructure development projects. Security clearance, recognised by the UK Government, will be required.

The post is initially for 6 months, with the possibility of an extension to 1 year. Candidates should be available immediately.
